" The Last Station "
" The Last Station "
As the last train of the night rumbled into the deserted station, a young woman named Sophia realized she was the only passenger left on board. The conductor's voice echoed through the intercom, announcing the final destination: Raven's Peak.
Sophia's unease grew as the train slowed, and the lights flickered. Outside, the darkness seemed to writhe and twist, like living shadows.
When the train creaked to a halt, Sophia saw a lone figure waiting on the platform: a woman in a long, tattered coat, her face deathly pale.
As Sophia stepped off the train, the woman vanished into the darkness, leaving behind a whispered warning: "Don't look back."
But Sophia's curiosity got the better of her. She glanced over her shoulder, and that's when the train began to move, slowly at first, then gaining speed.
Sophia tried to run, but her feet felt heavy, as if rooted to the spot. The train disappeared into the darkness, leaving her alone at Raven's Peak.
And when she turned to face the station, she saw the woman in the tattered coat, her eyes glowing with an otherworldly light.
Sophia tried to scream, but her voice was drowned out by the sound of the train, now a distant memory.
The last thing she saw was the woman's whispered message, scrawled on the station wall: "You should have stayed on board."
Sophia's mind raced as she tried to understand what was happening. The woman in the tattered coat began to move towards her, her eyes fixed on Sophia with an unnerving intensity.
As she approached, Sophia saw that the woman's face was not quite human. Her features were distorted, like a reflection in a funhouse mirror.
The woman reached out a bony hand and grasped Sophia's arm, her grip like ice. Sophia tried to shake her off, but the woman's hold was unyielding.
"You should have stayed on board," the woman hissed, her voice like a rusty gate. "Now you'll never leave Raven's Peak."
Sophia tried to scream again, but her voice was muffled by some unseen force. The woman began to drag her towards the darkness, away from the station.
As they moved deeper into the shadows, Sophia saw strange symbols etched into the walls. They seemed to pulse with a malevolent energy.
The woman stopped in front of a decrepit building, its door hanging crookedly on hinges. She pushed Sophia inside, and the door creaked shut behind them.
Sophia found herself in a dimly lit room, surrounded by strange artifacts. The woman in the tattered coat began to chant, her voice rising to a fever pitch.
Sophia's vision blurred, and she felt herself being pulled into a dark abyss. She knew she had to escape, but her body seemed paralyzed.
The last thing she saw was the woman's twisted face, her eyes blazing with an otherworldly power.
And then, everything went black.
When Sophia came to, she found herself in a narrow, dimly lit room. The walls were made of cold, grey stone, and the air was musty and dank. She was lying on a narrow bed, covered in a thin, tattered blanket.
As she struggled to sit up, she realized that her wrists and ankles were bound to the bedframe with rusty iron cuffs. Panic set in as she tried to wriggle free, but the cuffs were too strong.
The woman in the tattered coat appeared in the doorway, her eyes gleaming with a malevolent light. "You'll never leave Raven's Peak," she hissed, her voice dripping with malice.
Sophia tried to scream, but her voice was hoarse and barely audible. The woman began to chant, her voice rising and falling in a hypnotic rhythm.
Sophia felt herself being pulled into a dark trance, her mind clouding with a strange, foggy substance. She tried to resist, but it was too late.
The last thing she saw was the woman's twisted face, her eyes blazing with an otherworldly power. And then, everything went black.
When Sophia came to again, she was alone in the room. The cuffs were gone, but her mind was foggy and disoriented. She stumbled out of the room, into a dark and deserted corridor.
As she staggered through the shadows, she realized that she was trapped in a living nightmare. The woman in the tattered coat was nowhere to be seen, but Sophia knew she was still in Raven's Peak.
And she knew she had to escape, before it was too late
